French blood testing

Since certain Americans (ahem Lance, Landis) seem to have a serious itch to scratch with the way the French do blood testing, I thought I'd have mine tested here, about a dozen times since Memorial Day. A trip to the ER revealed  pulmonary embulism (blood clots) in both lungs and while they are not uncommon, man do they hurt like hell!!

They are, thankfully, totally treatable through a wonder drug called WARFarin, which was developed as a rat poison in 1948 by the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF). It has since been retired as a rat poison since those snooty rats require something more sophisticated. But, WARFarin is good enough for us PE patients and I've just begun a 12-month relationship with it. We are so happy together, WARFarin and I.

Warfarine and riding, does it mix?
Last summer I was diagnosed with DVS and the cure is WARFarine so needless to say, last season did not exist.
Just yesterday my doctor has said that I will most likely be on WARFarin for a long time (long term, a year). So yes, riding and cutting myself from a crash is one thing that really makes me nervous, so I would love to hear from others with the same predicaments as I what to do...
    Thanks a bunch.
